Israeli Music Video Competition / Soundtrack Tel Aviv 2025
The music video is the ultimate fusion of sound and image – a place where ideas burst across the screen and a song transforms into a short film. That’s precisely why the Soundtrack Tel Aviv Film Festival launched its official Israeli music video competition. Born out of a desire to celebrate the medium and the people behind it – directors, cinematographers, designers, musicians, and all the creative collaborators – the competition offers a stage for this unique form of art.
We believe the Israeli music video industry is more than ready for such a competition. With that in mind, we published an open call inviting creators to submit videos produced in Israel since January 2023. (As this is the competition’s inaugural year, we wanted to extend the eligibility window beyond the past 12 months.) Hundreds of videos were submitted. The festival’s professional selection committee watched every single one, narrowing the list down to 20 finalists. Some are large-scale productions, others were home filmed. The criteria: cinematic quality, originality, artistic value, and resonance with the spirit of the festival.
Our jury – featuring leading names from the worlds of music and cinema – will decide this year’s winners. Now it’s your turn to watch and fall in love again with the freest medium there is.
