A one-off special event in which DJ and musician Ellyott will accompany this rare screening of "Oded the Wanderer" - the first Hebrew feature film with a live DJ set of surprising current local music, including her own original compositions.
Oded the Wanderer (Oded Hanoded)
This newly restored silent film is considered the first feature film produced in Mandatory Palestine. The film was produced in 1932 on a meager budget and was therefore a silent film, despite sound films already being popular at the time. The plot is based on a story by Tzvi Lieberman (Livne), a Second Aliyah immigrant who lived in Nahalal, about a boy who goes on a trip with his classmates and gets lost. On his way Oded encounters Bedouins, an eccentric tourist and various animals that spark his curiosity.
