The Soundtrack Tel Aviv Film Festival is honored to present this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award to a composer who is much more than that. Naftali Alter is one of the pillars of Israeli cinema. As a producer, director, screenwriter, actor and, of course, a soundtrack composer, Alter was a vital figure in some of the greatest and most beloved films ever made in Israel.
Alter holds the distinction of being a musician who worked in cinema and a filmmaker who made music. He combined image and sound in an organic way as only someone who specializes in both fields can.
In honor of the award, Tomer Kariv will host a discussion with Naftali Alter, discussing his prolific career and the integration of music and cinema.
Tomer Kariv is a writer, lecturer, DJ, music editor, record collector and an expert on both popular and esoteric Israeli music.
Free admission - tickets must be booked in advance.
