Festival guest Noa Durban — an Israeli-born producer and screenwriter — has been based in Los Angeles since 2017. Her debut feature as producer, Butthole Surfers: The Hole Truth and Nothing Butt, is making its Israeli premiere at the festival. She has also consulted on international music and documentary projects (Scab Vendor, Don’t Fall in Love with Yourself, Something Better Change) and worked on award-winning production teams for the Webby-winning The Walking Dead: Last Mile and Emmy-winning Silent Hill: Ascension. Her work has been showcased at leading festivals such as SXSW and Beyond Fest.
Alongside her creative work, Durban brings extensive experience in business strategy, content acquisition, and international film distribution.
In this masterclass, Durban will discuss her work in the American film industry, at the intersection of cinema, music, and digital media, offering a multidisciplinary perspective on the evolving landscape of film and digital content.
Participants will be taken on a journey through the full life cycle of a film project – from initial concept and script development, through production processes integrating music and animation, to strategies for international distribution and release.
Durban will also provide an insider’s look at the current state of the Hollywood industry and share with us what it takes to make it and keep creating in Hollywood today.
