1 - LITTLE WORLD ISRAEL 2018, 15 MIN, RUSSIAN, HEBREW & ENGLISH SUBTITLES Director, Production, Script, Editing, Cinematography, Research & Music: Elina Mitelman A small apartment in Nazareth Illit. A family of veteran immigrants from the Soviet Union. The mother writes poetry, the father is busy with small, monotonous actions. The son dreams of fame as a musician. The small space carries voices, memories and longing for a different place. The director’s voice and her gaze ask what constitutes a family. 2 - ECCE HOMO ISRAEL 2019, 53 MIN, HEBREW, ENGLISH AND YIDDISH, HEBREW & ENGLISH SUBTITLES Director & Cinematography: Aharon Trietel 10 years after leaving the Orthodox lifestyle, Arale goes back to his childhood home to look for Eliezer, his uncle that was kidnapped as an infant. When it is suspected that Eliezer lives in Canada, the family refuses to contact Eliezer, who is married to a non-Jewish woman. As Arale attempts to reunite the family, past grievances re-emerge, returning to haunt all those involved. 3 - THE SILHOUETTE OF BRAIDS ISRAEL 2018, 15 MIN, HEBREW, ENGLISH SUBTITLES Director, Script & Cinematography: Rotem Dimand For 50 years a family archive sat in the dark, until Rotem persuaded her mother Varda to watch her childhood anew. The 8mm films are revealed to have been shot by Varda’s mother, an amateur filmmaker that documented her life in Tel Aviv during the late 1960s. The films shed light on past memories mixed with the present, and on mother-daughter relationships. 4 - OCD CEREMONIES ISRAEL 2018, 20 MIN, HEBREW, ENGLISH SUBTITLES Director, Production, Script, Editing & Research: Keren Gani Keren, 25, is coping with anxiety and with OCD. Her father’s post-trauma from the Yom Kippur War has a direct impact on her emotional makeup. Her daily ceremonies are transmitted in a picturesque and surreal language that presents a system of thought fueled by ancient fears from the battlefield where she herself was not present.
