Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Agnès Varda’s timeless salute to the culture of Cuba

A photo montage of Cubans filmed by Agnès Varda during her visit to Cuba in 1963, four years after Fidel Castro came to power. The film explores Cuban society, culture and music post-revolution. This black & white documentary explores their socialist culture and society while making use of more than 1500 photos Varda took during her visit. Narrated by Michel Piccoli.
The screening will be preceded by a short talk by film researcher and lecturer Yaara Ozeri about the work of Agnès Varda.
