When 16-year-old Davide was (accidentally?) shot by a policeman on the streets of Naples, director Agostino Ferrente asked his friends to tell his story—which is also their story—from their own perspective. Armed with smartphones, they document every minute of their lives: dreaming, fantasizing, sweating, having fun, but also losing hope. Inseparable friends Alessandro and Pietro quickly become co-directors in their own right. With heartwarming candor, they talk about the things that matter to them as teenagers growing up in a slum, pushed by circumstances to the brink of criminality. Whether discussing such unexpected subjects as body image, music, and love, or—more typically—showing off their weapons, they often seem to be portraying Hollywood characters. However, their irresistible personal charm makes it impossible not to fall for them.
