In Memory of Dan Toren
Year Zero
This film takes us into the world of strangers whose lives change forever when they meet by chance: a young mother with a 10-year-old tries to make ends meet after she's fired and evicted from her apartment; a hit-and-run driver kills a blind man's seeing-eye dog; a married couple in their 40s fight over an unplanned pregnancy; a radio producer faces his past as he creates a historical radio program about his father; an unethical businessman is forced to come home to Israel to take care of his aging dad.
The songs by the fictional punk band Dada that are featured in the film were mostly written by Dan Toren. They were performed by members of the punk-pop band Useless I.D and sung by Ohad Fishof, the former lead singer of alternative rock band The Top Hat Carriers.
