Plot 35 /
Plot 35 of the Casablanca graveyard was supposed to be the grave of the director's baby sister. The plot, however, does not exist, and it seems all memory of the child has been erased—intentionally. French actor Éric Caravaca tries to uncover a secret that his parents have hidden from him all his life. Did he have a sister? What happened to her? Why is there no evidence of her life or death? The contradictory answers he finds in interviews with his parents and in the family archive only lead to more mysteries. Attempting to understand the need to forget, Caravaca's extraordinary film ties his family's story to the bitter history of the countries they lived in—Morocco, Algeria and France, which have their own ghosts to cope with.
