Football and Chola are the true kings of the oldest skate park in Santiago, Chile. The two stray dogs, who found shelter and a circle of friends at the park, spend their days napping, playing, and tailing the adolescent skaters who congregate there. Directors Bettina Perut and Iván Osnovikoff spent two years with the pair. Through them—almost through their eyes—they got to know the flow of life in the park, and the people who frequent it. With great tenderness, they share what they have learned with the viewers. There are no interviews, but the skaters are part of the dogs’ surroundings, and so the stories—human and canine—become intertwined. Spontaneously captured, the romance, fights, and tackles with the authorities are all pieces of one story: the story of a deep friendship among and between skaters and dogs.
